Resolutions: A Month Late and 3.8 Billion Short

OK. So I realize I have been incredably lax on keeping up with this blog since I quit my job. Well, today I was out walking and realized it's not 'Writer's Block' or anythign that stops me, it's simple laziness. So I went and got a giant bottle of Jim Beam and now I will drink and write. Or write and drink, as it were. Maybe this will motivate me? I'm gonna try to at least write a blog every other day. Weekday. Like, Mon - Wed - Fri or some shit. Something needs to be done! And I needs to do it.

To start with, I'm still pretty pissed at the whole Michael Phelps incident. I mean, I could give two shits about swimming, but now he's an icon for the 'Winners Use Drugs' campaign. I mean, even Geraldo agrees - sorta. (See videobelow; holy damn something worthwhile on FOX?! )

Still using something other than gMail? Need an excuse to leave yahoo,MSN or (eck) hotmail? Well, now it's even easier. Check out the new 'Merge Emails' feature on gmail. (Now if only they'd pay me, I could be a proper gWhore...)

When I was in college, I wanted to be a writer. And now, almost four years after I graduated, I've not completed a single short story. Or anything, really; other than this blog and a crapton of posts to austin-chat, I've really not been on the ball as it were. I mean, things like this are being published in the New Yorker. I'm glad to see it - I enjoy short stories very much and it's good to see a semi-sci-fi-short-story (or SSSSS, as I calls it).

Well three shots in and I have to go. But at least it's something! On track, again, for now.
